|When to sow||
A strong growing variety which needs staking. This variety flowers in late December and produces a uniquely flavoured sweet large 7cm obvate chocolate coloured ribbed fruit by late January. It has a disadvantage that the branches that bear the fruit are weak and can snap because of the weight of fruit. The fruit also has a tendency to crack. The flavour of this variety is exceptional.
