An open pollinated selection by Steve Solomon. We grew this from seed and sold many punnets of seedlings grown by St Georges School, the feedback was very favourable. This is a beautiful dark green variety that grows like a cos but has soft sweet leaves that can be picked regularly or left to form a semi head. Mature plants are about 35cm by 35cm. Despite its name, it can be sown Spring to early Summer, and late Summer to Autumn. Does not go to seed readily. Sow 5mm deep in rows 30cm apart. Thin at four leaf stage.
