|When to sow||
Intense red, densely curled leaves for picking throughout Winter and into Spring. Can be eaten raw. Cold weather and frost produces a nutty, sweet flavour. Relatively free of brassica pests and diseases. Sow early Spring and late Summer for harvest from Nov to August. For best taste sow late and harvest in Winter. When harvested in Summer, put leaves in freezer for 5 minutes to replicate frost. Sow seed 5 mm deep in rows 15cm apart. Transplant to 45 cm apart.
