Eye catching kale known as Black Palm, dark green leaves, 20cm long, blistered and crumply appearance. Cross between cabbage and kale, extremely Winter hardy. Use in soups and stews. Relatively free of brassica pests and diseases. Sow early Spring and late Summer for harvest from Nov to August. For best taste sow late and harvest in Winter. When harvested in Summer, put leaves in freezer for 5 minutes to replicate frost. Sow seed 5 mm deep in rows 15cm apart. Transplant to 45 cm apart.
