|When to sow||
Thin stems, small heads like broccolini and sweeter better yields. Grows well under a wide range of conditions. Sow Sept, Oct and again from Feb to April. Sow 4 seeds in a hole 5 mm deep, 40 cm apart, with 40 cm between rows. Gradually thin each cluster to the best plant. Side dress with complete organic fertiliser. This can go to seed very early in temperatures above 20 degrees, it is recommended that harvesting begins immediately when the small heads appear, cropping can continue then for a few days to a couple of weeks. When boiled is sweet and tender.
