An excellent selection of climbing scarlet runner which has prolific long, sweet, stringless beans with beautiful marbled large seeds. Cultivation: sow Nov – Jan , germination takes place in 16-18 days. Sow seeds 2 cm deep and 15 cm apart. Prefer mildly acidic soil. Mulch around plants to conserve water. Thin to 15-20cm apart. Suggest pre-sprouting indoors before putting out in case of prolonged cold weather. Water the flowers to keep them cool. Encourages setting.
