We have grown this in isolation because broad beans cross readily with other broad bean varieties. The flowers are white, the plants are about 1.8m tall and the bean pods are approx. 7cm long 1.5cm wide containing uniform sized six to eight mahogany red coloured seeds rather than white, green or brown seeds. It has a creamy flavour and lacks the harsher iron taste. Sow Autumn or late Winter. Sow as for other broad beans. From seed grown in Tasmania by us, untreated seed.
