Purple Flowered Broad Bean

$5.50/10 seeds

A selected variety which has a long growing season when sown in Autumn. It will flower around October and produce pods containing beans in November. It has a nutty rich earthy flavour and is not bitter. Better sown late Winter as flowers early and can get damaged by severe frosts and not get pollinated. Prepare soil by raking in COF. Sow 2 seeds individually about 15cm apart, about 2cm deep and 20cm between the rows. When plants are 10cm tall base dress each seedling with about a tea spoon size of COF. Harvest beans when they are about 1.5 cm to 2 cm.
