We are proud to offer this heirloom variety from 1925, named after the Scottish Island. A very productive perfect round tomato, produced in high yields in late January about 4cm round. Beautiful flavour, a tomato that has stood the test of time.

Beaverlodge Tomato

45cm diametre low spreading plant, slightly raised branches supporting large numbers of strong orange/red soft skinned sweet tangy flavoured, thirst quenching 3cm fruit by early January, production slows down after the first fruiting and picks up again steadily throughout late January into mid February and then slows down. Excellent for containers or small gardens.

Black Plum Tomato

Excellent 70cm tall by 70cm strong stemmed variety, supporting small trusses of 5cm plum shaped purple topped, chocolate coloured fruits in high yields, starts producing small amounts in mid/late January, highest yields seem to be mid/late February and then it slows down. Fruits are smooth, mild and creamy with some sweetness.

Cal Ace Tomato

Rare. This variety is about 1m tall flowers mid January. It produces the first fruit about Mid February and increases yields into late February. The fruit are obvate large bright red with interesting fizzy flavours.

Campbells 17 Tomato

One of Campbells selections for soup and canning tomato. Strong branches with deep green foliage. Flowers in late January, quite high yields of fruits ripen end February. Beautiful flavours a real professional variety, we made the best thickest homemade soup from these tomatoes. Possibly a bit late for very cold gardens.

Cherokee Purple Tomato

A strong growing variety which needs staking. This variety flowers in late December and produces a uniquely flavoured sweet large 7cm obvate chocolate coloured ribbed fruit by late January. It has a disadvantage that the branches that bear the fruit are weak and can snap because of the weight of fruit. The fruit also has a tendency to crack. The flavour of this variety is exceptional.

Cherokee Red Tomato

Very strong growing variety flowering about January and producing the first ripe red round fruit end January, which are 8cm firm fleshy with a wonderful smooth taste. Stronger branches than Cherokee purple, and fruit does not crack. Fruit production increases in February well into March.

Double Rich Tomato

The name is for the high amounts of vitamin C it was bred to have. This variety initiates flowers mid January, and has large 10cm fruit ripening in February, in cool climates there will not be many fruit, but they are worth growing the power packed flavour is something else, eating one tomato of this variety is like three of another.

One of the original Heinz tomato varieties. Terrific flavours for soups and casseroles etc. This variety initiates flowers very early December, but the many fruit are slow to grow and ripen so the 8cm fruit mature in February, they are rich red thin skinned with smooth mild flavours.

Long Keeper Tomato

A very useful variety because it produces tomatoes late season that don’t rot on the plant but can be harvested and stored and keep well into April May without rotting. This variety flowers early in December, by end February it is covered in pale orangy splashed with green fruits about 6cm round. Very high yields of sweet tasting flavour packed tomatoes.
