A richly flavoured English spinach, resistant to bolting. Very dark green leaf ideal for baby leaf or repeat harvest. Cultivation; Sow all year round. Add a layer of well rotted compost, rake in complete organic fertiliser. Sow seed in furrows 5 mm deep, 1 cm apart, in rows 35 cm apart. Thin to 4cm apart when established little plants. Use a knife or secateurs to thin the plants to 20cm apart. (In extremely hot weather it may bolt.) Will go to seed in hot weather.
A spinach suitable for the home gardener. Fast growing plants enable constant cutting of abundant greens. Flavour is naturally salty and delicious, highly nutritious. Sow: Prepare beds with compost and organic fertiliser. Sow seeds 5 mm deep, 20 cm apart in rows 30 cm apart, mid November until January.
